I grew up in the era of NES, SNES and later Playstation. One of my favorite type of games to play was the Strike games:

Urban Strike

Nuclear Strike

Etc.

The main premise is flying around in a hellicopter over a map and performing various missions: rescue someone, destroy something, etc. After all the missions on a given map were completed, the player moved on to another map, etc. The games on SNES had okay graphics, but they were much better on Playstation.

Though I have searched around I have never found another game in this genre: top down mission based arcade flight sim. The graphics don't have to be amazing for a game like this to be great. I would love to see an indy game company pick this genre up and run with it.

Another game I would love to see is a Highlander action RPG. Think "The Witcher" only set in the Highlander universe. Because of the long lives Highlanders live the game could be set in basically any historical period or even a few different ones.
